Marimekko Räsymatto Tray, Black-white

Marimekko’s Räsymatto tray is decorated with Maija Louekari’s attractive pattern in white and black. Räsymatto, Finnish for rag rug, depicts the texture of traditional rag rugs in a delightful manner. The tray is made of laminated birch plywood, and it measures 15 x 32 cm.

Maija Louekari’s Siirtolapuutarha (“allotment garden”) and Räsymatto (“rag rug”) patterns tell stories about country life in an urban environment with a pleasant feeling of nostalgia. Originally released in 2009, the patterns have become classics of modern Finnish design.
