The Marimekko Oiva Uimari plate features a stripe pattern designed by Erja Hirvi. Created with the paper-cutting technique, the blue-and-white pattern is reminiscent of early 20th-century swimwear, with its asymmetrical stripes also resembling steady, rhythmical swimming strokes. As a nod to these images, the motif is named Uimari, which translates to “swimmer”.
This pattern is coloured in light blue – combine the mug with monochrome dishware or boldly mix and match colours and different Marimekko patterns!
