Marimekko’s Mono City Tote bag is decorated with the Pulloposti print in bold shades of bright red and natural white. Made of unbleached organic cotton, the shoulder bag features two pairs of handles in different lengths, an open exterior pocket with a printed Marimekko logo, as well as drawstrings that allow you to adjust the size of the opening and thus customise the shape of the bag. This large tote bag is also ideal as a shopping bag or gym bag. The fabric is printed in Helsinki, Finland.
Finnish for “message in a bottle”, the Pulloposti print from 1965 was designed by Maija Isola, inspired by Mediterranean landscapes and sea creatures. Isola found inspiration for the print from the island of Crete and its vibrant underwater world.
